Fairs & Festivals: TEEJ Festival - is celebrated in July-August, a grand royal procession winds its ways for two days through the old city. Thousands of people throng the city to witness this grand event. It is also the festival of Swings, decorated with flowers & hang from trees. GANGAUR Fair - most important fair of the state and is observed (in March-April) with fervor and devotion. Women take out procession singing songs through streets carrying images of divine couple on their heads. Beside this a mega royal procession is also taken out in the city. ELEPHANT Festival – the festival is held on the eve of Holi (in March) in Jaipur and has several attractions like elephant Polo. The festival begins with a procession of elephants, camels, horses & folk dances. The elephants are decorated to the full with bright colors. Female elephants are made to wear anklets and a prize is given for the most decorated elephant. Holi on elephant back is one of the major attractions. DASHERA Festival – is celebrated (in October). It is celebrated the triumph of good over evil . Huge effigies of the ten headed Ravana & his brothers stuffed with thousands of fire crackers are set afire and the people begin to rejoice. DIWALI – (in November) is a festival of lights , people decorate their house with earthen oil lamps & electric lightings, shops & markets are also decorated with lights. HOLI – (in March) It is a festival of colors, people apply, spray, throw colors on each other & enjoy. MAKAR SAKRATRI – (in January) is a festival of kites, people fly kites on this whole day.
Local handicraft: hand made Sanganeri printed textile & paper, Gems & jewellery, Ornaments, marble-brass-wood work, carpet, blue potteries etc.

We are associated with Lions Clubs International, my husband is secretary there.We organize various social welfare activities like - blood donation camp, free medical check up,eye check up & operation camp,Free distribution of medicine,fruits,cloths to the poor,calipers,hearing aids,try cycles to the physically challenged,books,stationary,dresses,scholarship to the needy students.
We also organize various awareness programs about aids,road safety,terrorism,human rights, tree plantation .(see my husbands profile Mr.J.P.Sharma on our website)
My grand parents helped a lot in creating heritage of Jaipur, they worked in various forts & palaces of Jaipur specially brass& silver work.
We arrange meeting of our guests with local people.We take them to various cultural shows, socials functions-like marriage and religious activities like yoga,meditation,pooja etc.to make them acquaint with our culture & traditions.
We also arrange lessons on cooking mehandi,dance,palmistry & vastu etc. BUT all depends on time & effort available to the guest.
