The building is almost one hundred years old but it was recently renovated, however the traditional structure and the feel of the building have been beautifully preserved.
The flat is comfortably furnished, at the very top of the building, and is therefore ideal if you want a lot of privacy, especially for a romantic hide-away for a single couple.
The flat is very light and sunny. It has a modern fitted kitchen, a balcony and a terrace with beautiful plants, where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast. The bedroom is small but it has an en-suite bathroom with shower, basic furnished but private. It looks onto the terrace which has an amazing view over a courtyard and the city bellow. Both bedroom and the living room are equipped with air conditioning. The living room balcony looks out to the river and other historical buildings. The street is cobblestoned and leads to the Canadian Embassy, and is very close to the Estrela Basilica and the gardens of Estrela.
The apartment is the ideal choice if you are travelling on a budget and would like to do some catering. The space itself is small, but it is sunny and at a walking distance to the main attractions. Please note that because of the building\'s old structure it has not been possible to add a lift, this apartment is therefore not suitable for people who might have difficulty climbing stairs.
Buses: Please check the route planner from Carris buses website to have a better idea taking into account the time of your arrival (www.carris.pt) English version available. Please note that \"aeroporto da portela\" is the departure point and \"rua de buenos aires- 1200 Lisboa\" is the arrival point. Tickets may be purchased from the driver as you board the bus (ticket: 1.35€).
Taxi: The flat is about 15min ride from Lisbon\'s Airport. This would be the best way to get to the flat. Taxis in Lisbon are inexpensive compared to other European cities. There are two taxi stands within the perimeter of the airport, one at arrivals and the other one at departures. You can purchase a Taxi Voucher at the Tourism Information Counter in the airport\'s Arrivals Hall.

Metro: Although there is no direct connection to the airport, the nearest metro stations are 15 minutes away by bus (Gare do Oriente or Areeiro Stations) (www.metrolisboa.pt). The closest metro station to the flat is Rato.
