Description:
Green Gecko is an architecturally stunning Thai villa, with a delighful negative edge private swimming pool, overlooking the wooods and plantations of Northeast Thailand, near Udon Thani.
The villa sleeps four in total comfort and with all modern amenities, and stays are fully catered and serviced, with all meals and drinks, as well as airport transfers, included in the rates.
Your local Thai host family live in a small, typical village a little way away, and will look after you during your trip and integrate you, to the extent you choose, in local life.
We believe that there is a growing trend and desire amongst visitors to get off the beaten path and to track down a unique, one-of-a-kind experience. A hotel room that stacks us up with other displaced souls, or a resort that prefers us to remain within its walls, is less attractive than ever.
Simultaneously, we believe that guests today have much higher expectations and seek more... a greater awareness of the lifestyles and traditions of the locales that they visit. They are keen to keep travel sustainable: with a constant eye upon the environment and a mind to help the indigenous people wherever possible, yet without sacrificing comfort, facilities and style.
Green Gecko continues our principles of maintaining all revenues within the community, and developing sustainable tourism in Thailand's Northeast (or "Isaan") - traditionally one of the poorest regions of the country. Please join us!
