Description:
Erol & Pauline invite you to the real Turkey - welcome to Owlsland!
Bezirgan - a delightful unspoilt Turkish farming village in the Taurus mountains, 700 metres above Kalkan, on the Mediterranean coast
Owlsland - a 150-year-old farmhouse, skillfully renovated as a charming, simple guesthouse.
Friendly, personal service from the owners, who are always on hand.
Set in its own grounds where almonds and fig trees, grape vines and pomegranates grow, its windows look out over the fields to the mountains surrounding the village.
The house has 3 rooms; each has comfortable, spotlessly clean beds, courtesy tray with complimentary tea/coffee, towels & hairdryer provided, and modern facilities with constant hot water.
You can relax in the gardens, or stretch out on the huge balcony with its traditional comfy cushions and pillows.
It's the ideal place for a completely relaxing holiday - calm and peaceful, far from the more... stresses of modern living, yet it's so close to lots of interesting places that it makes an ideal base for exploring.

Responsible Action
We buy all our produce locally, and where possible use fruit and vegetables grown organically in our own gardens. We try to encourage others, both visitors and locals, to adopt organic practices.
Erol was born & bred in this village, and this is the first new enterprise to be started here for many years. We were first to restore one of the old traditional farmhouses, then opened it as a small hotel, the only one in the village.
All materials used in restoration and in building our own house next door are local and in keeping with the village, & we used all local workmen.
We bring only small groups, which do not disrupt village life, we offer guided walks and cookery classes which explain a bit of local culture, traditions and beliefs; we try to preserve & promote the area\'s culture & traditions, and to discourage inappropriate development or speculation in the village.
