Description:
We are Elmira and Samira, two Kyrgyz sisters who are in charge of Ecotour, a company for ecological tourism. We chose the name "Ecotour" because our activities are based on the principles of ecological, community based tourism.
Ecotour organizes travel for individuals, small groups and families (with children). For the 2009 season we have prepared six thematic cultural programs and eight active adventurous tours, all of which are very interesting and unique. Basically you can create your own itinerary with departure date of your choosing.
New in 2009. A tour for women without fellow traveller and a trip in spring in which you can take part in our tree project in Tuura-Suu where schoolchildren will plant trees around their school.
Planting Trees. Trees are very important for the climate on earth. In large parts of Kyrgyzstan the forests have disappeared due to overgrazing during Sovjet time Ecotour will start planting trees in the village of Tuura-Suu. more... We will ask our guests to help us with this project. With a small contribution it will be possible to buy a fir or elm tree which will be planted.
In 2009 we offer again a trip for nature photographers in which you will be accompanied and advised by a Dutch professional photographer. Also the two weeks trip with rented bicycles, individual or in a small group will be offered just as the bird watching tour, for which we were able to find a Dutch ornitholoog to accompany you.
To Kyrgyzstan by train. In 2009 we continued to offer the possibility to travel by train to and from the capital Bishkek. If wanted you can make a stop in Moscow, where you have to change trains. If you decide to come by train, you will spend about 7 days on de train. We can send you more information (price and program) on request.
