Description:

We board our river van promptly at 8 a.m. and head for the river about 45
minutes away. We'll practice our paddling skills with our guides, and head for the excitement and fun of the Tunnel Chute and Kanaka Falls!

We stop mid-day for a delicious lunch along the river, have time to enjoy the peacefulness of the canyon and its wildlife and then paddle through more fun rapids like Chunder and Parallel Parking to finish the day’s run.

The Middle Fork is a legendary California Gold Rush river. In the 1850's mining towns sprang up along its banks, and miners diverted the river at mile 2.5, Horseshoe Bend, creating the Tunnel Chute in order to glean riches from the exposed dry stream bed.

Responsible Action:

It’s our view that rivers are magical. They are the lifeblood of our state, and they provide a spiritual, environmental and economic boon to the communities they run through. We like to share that magic...

Our philosophy extends beyond just an attitude, or a viewpoint. We strongly believe that we have to not just talk the talk, but also walk the walk. In short, our company donates resources of all kinds – dollars, time and energy – into organizations, auctions and events that benefit our rivers, our communities and the people who live in them.
