Description:
Some happiness secrets can be in the simple lives of these sea men. Take part in an authentic homemade fishery. Fishermen from the traditional community of Pantano do Sul will show you the pescaria de cerco (enclosure fishery), pull and check the fishing nets as well as gather up the fishes on board. Typical lunch is included.
PROGRAMMING:
8h30 ? Reception: Instituto Ilhas do Brasil. Introduction to the fisherman. Brief explanation about the project Estrelas do Mar, the boat ride, the types of traditional fishing, and the safety equipment.
9h00 ? Boarding on a typical fisherman boat. Inspection and explanations about the pescaria de cerco (enclosure fishery). Release the fishing net in the water. Inspection of the nets in the bay and around the Island. Collection of a fishing net that was throw in the previous evening, departure and fish sorting. Boat ride to the proximities of Ilhas Tres Irmas and Moleques do Sul islands. On the way back, inspection on the more... nets that were throw previously. A stop for optional swim. During the course the fisherman will share a little of his wisdom and experience.
12h30 / 13h00 - Arrival at the beach. Lunch included in a typical Pantano do Sul restaurant with, rice, beans, salad and fishes (drinks are not included).
