Description:
Ujung Kulon National Park is located a few hours off the beaten path, but is well worth the trip. It has been dedicated by UNESCO as a world heritage site, and is a sanctuary for many species of wildlife including the nearly extinct Indonesian Rhinoceros, the Banten (a wild bovine species), wild pig, barking deer, and numerous primate species, as well as a huge range of species of birds.
Responsible Action:
Provide housing in ECO lodges and locally run establishments that enagage in sustainable practices, work with small local businesses rather than large companies, provide environmental education.
