In our one-day excursions you can enjoy the beauty of Durmitors Ring and the Tara canyon. The road winds through the spectacular limestone scenery of the Durmitor massif, where the dominant geological features are very thick, often savagely contorted, limestone formations. The landscape of this natural World Heritage Site was carved by glaciers and deeply cut by rivers and underground streams. It is situated south of the Tara River Canyon -the deepest canyon in Europe. A large area of Durmitor park is covered by vast alpine meadows, dense pine forests and clear glacial lakes. Because of its location and range of elevation, Durmitor National Park has both Mediterranean and alpine microclimates, resulting in an exceptional range of species which can be seen on a Jeep safari. We also arrange walking tours.
