The Street Teacher can save you time and money and give you peace of mind as you encounter the mysterious depths of New York City - and it's surrounding nesting areas: the suburbs and the mountains beyond. We feel the best way to meet the city isn't through the maps, or only at its restaurants, museums and theaters, but with interactions with its people and its customs. We get you down with the natural - and manmade - features of the city's present and historical realities so that you will feel comfortable with not being at home.
Conditions:
If the tour be a walking tour, one must consider one's self able to walk at a rate of 3 miles per hour, climb stairs comfortably, and not need any special assistance. (If one should have such needs, then a general adjustment shall be made, but all must agree.) On private tours, a deposit may be requested. Tours generally can last from 2 hours to 4 hours. Resting spots will be available.
Responsible Action:
My general purpose is to promote travel by foot, by which means both fitness is encouraged, interactions with locals is facilitated, and use of polluting vehicles is minimized - and contact with nature is most immediate.
