Description:
The “White Umbrella” Travel Company specializes on adventure-, eventful and eco- tourism in Mongolia and the Baikal region.
The company is based in the city of Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia. Irkutsk is the travel center and the starting point of all routes in our region. As it is a local company to this region, you don\'t have to work with middlemen: direct contacts are always more effective and profitable to work with.
We have discovered and will be happy to show to our customers abandoned and functioning monasteries in Mongolia, where our travelers can make a stop for several nights, meditating and enjoying the silence and nature around.
Responsible Action:
We promote the remote, distant regions in Buryatia in order to help stimulate their local economy by accommodating tourists and proudly sharing their culture and daily life. We want to continue developing tourism in this region.
Mein Rat: unbedingt insel Olchon besuchen. Der schönste Ort auf der Insel ist
Kap Choboj.

Hi friends,
Recently we traveled with my husband to Sikkim and West Bengal with Natalia and Yeshi. It was our 7-th trip to India. We have met many guides before and visited many places. But this trip was our best. These guides are beyond any praise. They showed us their affability, charm, accuracy and encyclopedic knowledge of Buddhism.
Good hotels, cars and all services. The guides were very flexible and always made our tour customizable.
We could visit places usually prohibited to visit for tourists, we took pictures where they cannot be usually taken. We attended services in Buddhist monasteries, which is such a unique experience for us. Everywhere we were warmly welcomed by the tea ceremony. We could have a look inside to the monks’ rooms. Thanks for Yeshi for all those things, because he knows these places and people and he has friends everywhere.
The local guides were also very friendly. We enjoyed the picnic they organized for us in the middle of our trekking!
We would like to go somewhere again with this couple and we recommend them to everybody. You can count on these people!

After 2 months and 15'330 km of driving our expedition group arrived safely back in Switzerland last weekend.
It was nice to meet you at the camp near the red-horse rock after the big thunderstorm. I would like to thank you for the excellent services we had in Mongolia! I think almost everyone of the group wanted to turn around and travel through all of Mongolia again (after having done their laundry and had a hot shower with lots of water in Russia). Almost everyone of the group said that they would really like to return to Mongolia sometime soon! - We were really spoilt by our support team - Balu who could fix every car problem and knew all the most beautiful camping spots, Uca who's food is just excellent, Tsamba who translated, organized and explained, Rose and Otlana who were always smiling and helping ... please give them all my warmest regards. I really do hope that I'll be able to return to Mongolia (soon and often)...
Kind regards
Claudia

The trip was amazing... Mongolia is one beautiful country and the people just add to this!
Chookaa and Umba were brilliant... I can't speak more highly. It was like traveling with
two additional friends on the trip. We had such a great laugh with them both, sung, drunk vodka, laughed and just generally learnt a lot about the culture and Mongolia from them both!
When we come back next year on the school trip I would LOVE to have them both come along on the few days we travel to the Ger camp... I miss them both a lot and Mongolia already!
Thank you so much for organizing the trip and sending great people with us & am looking forward to next year already!
Thanks again
