Bob Wang has been a tour guide in Beijing since 2002, starting with flight attendants from United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and others, and then branching out on a referral basis from those flight attendants to their friends, families and business associates who wanted to see Beijing and environs. Over the years, Bob has come to understand a great deal about English-speaking Westerners, enjoying each encounter as another exchange opportunity: learning idioms of expression and local culture from his clients while imparting small details about Chinese culture and the Chinese people back to them. Bob provides the tour services while his wife, Lily, can massage away the soreness from climbing the Great Wall and ease the exhaustion of a full day of seeing the sights and sounds of Beijing.
