Are you a travel agency?

No, we're a travel classifieds company. We may permit small, local travel agencies to list on our site, but we're not directly affiliated with them.

How do you ensure safety?

Quality control, reliability of service, and safety are very important to StepUp Travel and our users. While we take no responsibility for user activity or the contents of a listing, we do monitor all ads to ensure they adhere to our User Agreement.

StepUp Travel supplies tools that allow users to give feedback and ratings on reliability, quality, and safety of the activities or accommodations advertised, as well as the ability to flag ads that appear questionable or non-compliant with our User Agreement. Our user feedback and rating tools serve the same purpose as those you find on eBay or Yelp. Service providers are held publically accountable for the quality and safety of their services and business practices. Additionally, our ad ranking rules ensure that the best quality ads appear first, while the least desired ads appear last.

Whom do I pay for my booking?

Payment is made directly to the service provider. Different providers have different conditions, so make sure you ask them all the details before commiting to anything.

We plan on rolling out a payment gateway in the future so that you can pay online using your credit card or PayPal. We'll let you know when that feature is out. Just make sure you create an account with us so that you get notified.

How do I post an Ad?

Go to our Post an Ad screen and just follow the instructions. Make sure you fill out as much data as you can since travelers prefer listings with complete information (and so does our ranking algorithm). You may be prompted to create an account first if you don't already have one.

How much does it cost to post an Ad?

Publishing an ad is currently FREE.

How long does my ad stay active?

The ad cycle is six months, after which time renewal is required. Renewal is also free. We send notifications by email when your ad is about to expire, prompting you to renew it so it stays active the following cycle.
