Reputation is essential to building a customer base, especially for international travelers who may be coming into a country they are unfamiliar with and interacting with people they do not know. While certain activities and accommodations may look very appealing, establishing trust in the people and/or company providing the service is essential to getting the business. Data shows that customer reviews heavily influence purchasing decisions of future customers. StepUp travel provides a framework to build provider reputation and customer reviews in the context of social media and social networking.
Travelers can easily review a provider's activities and accommodations, which in turn affects the provider's ranking on StepUp and helps attract more customers.
Providers can plot their location on Google Maps, which helps travelers know exactly where they are. With this information StepUp can advertise to travelers who plan routes and trips in the area of the provider, as well as distribute the content to Geolocation services and target travelers in neighboring areas.
Providers can embed their YouTube videos in each of their listings.

We designed a simple algorithm to automatically identify problems and weaknesses in each listing a provider creates and makes suggestions on how they can make improvements. Using this tool, providers can identify deficiencies in their listings and easily correct them. This will help their search engine optimization as well as their ranking on StepUp Travel.

StepUp automatically generates promotional cards (business cards and flyers) for each listing a service provider creates. These are easy to print out and leave in strategic locations in the area of the provider.

Distribution Channels

Social media and social networks allow for travelers to interact with one another and exchange information on places to visit and exciting experiences they've had with providers. We believe information on services, service providers, and travelers must all be intertwined within a social media context to build a customer base and referral system that ultimately leads to more business.
Facebook Connect is a deep integration of Facebook and StepUp Travel. By clicking the FC button, Facebook users are instantly registered on StepUp Travel. When travelers inquire, review, show interest in providers or their services, that information is published to the traveler's Facebook profile automatically for their friends to see.Google Merchant Center is a services directory hosted by Google. StepUp Travel automatically submits all listings to Google Merchant Center to give providers broader visibility.
Vast advertises classified ads for apartment and vacation property rentals. StepUp Travel automatically submits all accommodations listings to Vast.
Oodle is a classifieds site hosting a broad variety of services and goods. StepUp Travel uploads our content to Oodle for broader exposure.

WebPartner is a content distributor in social media with multiple channels in various genres/categories (kind of like TV shows, but in the form of text). StepUp Travel pushes our most unique and interesting experiences to the WebPartner Adventure Travel channel (over 20,000 followers).
